Founder and CEORajendra Kumar-Singh, PhD
Dr. Kumar-Singh is Professor of Developmental, Molecular and Chemical Biology at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Previously, he was the Scientific Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Hemera Biosciences and inventor of soluble sCD59 (HMR59) for the treatment of dry age-related macular degeneration, also known as geographic atrophy. HMR59 was acquired by Janssen Pharmaceuticals and is now known as JNJ-81201887.
He completed his PhD at the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in ocular genetics, followed by postdoctoral work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, faculty roles at UCLA School of Medicine and the University of Utah, and progression to tenured Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Senior ScientistManish Mishra, PhD
Dr. Mishra is a Senior Scientist at Visiogene with extensive experience in animal models of retinal degeneration and development and use of recombinant AAV vectors for retinal gene therapy.
He graduated from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research in India and was a Research Associate at Wayne State University School of Medicine before moving to Tufts University as a Research Associate.
He later worked in industry as a key member of the CNS and ocular gene therapy program at PTC Therapeutics and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications.
